About
I'm someone who likes to try new things, come up with new ideas, and stay busy. And I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. But I'm realizing that I don't want to be so busy thinking about what's next that I miss what's happening right now.
There are things I want more of in my life. More real connection. More time doing things I actually enjoy. More attention to my faith and the people I love. More experiences that happen away from a screen. And honestly, just more appreciation for the life I already have.
The idea for Simply Still has been on my heart for a while, and I still haven't figured out exactly what I want it to become. It's growing and changing as I am.
The name Simply Still comes from one of my favorite verses, Psalm 46:10: “Be still, and know that I am God.”
Those words have taken on more meaning for me over the years as I've discovered what they really mean. Being still isn't just about slowing down or having a quieter life. It's about letting go of the need to have everything figured out and remembering Who is really in control.
That's a big part of what I want Simply Still Living to remind me of, and you, too. To slow down enough to notice the life we're living, hold close the things that matter, and trust God with the rest.
This isn't a place where I pretend to have everything figured out or tell you how you should be living your life. Rather, I'll share what I'm learning, what I'm thinking about, things I'm trying, and some of what I've learned along the way.
I'm also sharing here some of the things I've created to help bring these ideas to life. Things like my snail mail club, the More Than Memories collection, and some other free resources for you to use. I love creating things that feel personal, useful, and a little more meaningful, and you'll find more of those here as Simply Still Living grows.
More than anything, I hope something you find here connects with you. Maybe it gives you an idea you hadn't thought of, encourages you to try something you've been putting off, or simply gets you thinking about what you'd like a little more of in your own life.
I'm glad we found each other. Please be sure to get on my email list so we can keep in touch.
